Rain, fatigue, not enough time... It's not always easy to find the motivation to do sport or even just take a 30 minute walk. Motivation takes work just like staying in shape. How?
A reason for every sport
Everyone knows that sports are good for your health. But that's not what's going to get you off the couch and out the door.
For every excuse you've got, Domyos, your fitness and weight training partner, has an answer. Why don't you do sport?
Reason 1: I don't want to do it alone
There's one easy solution: find a friend.
If none of your friends or family are up to it, try a personal trainer. These professionals are there to motivate you and help you improve. You should take advantage. Together, you can set a training plan and goals.
Reason 2: I'm too tired
Not doing sport can actually make you feel "tired". Doing a sports activity can give you the energy boost you need!
Reason 3: The weather is terrible
This is just a bad excuse. If it's too hot, too cold or too rainy, why not work out at home?
You can use a treadmill, stair stepper, or the abdo gain to improve your cardio strength, increase endurance or strengthen your muscles at home. What's stopping you?
Another possibility: sign up at a gym.
Reason 4: Results take too long
Of course you won't see results after a few workouts. But that doesn't mean it's all for nothing.
To really see results, set a training plan - like the pros do - with various short-, mid- and long-term goals. This way you can better evaluate your progress.
Reason 5: I don't have time!
You only need 30 minutes of moderate exercise, like a brisk walk, to move from sedentary to active!
If you have to, start by dividing those 30 minutes into blocks of 10 minutes. You can then gradually increase the length of time and intensity.
